Instructions
  1. Begin by building the clock structure: Trace a large dinner plate onto two pieces of construction paper and cut the forms out. Next, cut out a strip of poster board 3 inches wide and as long as the circumference of the circles. Tape the strip around the edge of one circle to form the rim of a "bowl."

  2. Gently stuff the "bowl" with confetti and candies, then tape the remaining circle to the top edge of the strip, sealing the goodies inside.

  3. Mix up a batch of papier-mâché paste. Tear several sheets of newspaper into long, thin strips and dip them, one at a time, into the paste mixture. Remove excess paste by running each strip between your fingers. Gently lay strips onto the clock structure. Be sure to cover the "clock" with at least two layers.

  4. Once dry, paint a clock face, with the hands pointing towards midnight, on the front and back.
