As a kid I never liked musical chairs--there was always too much pressure about whether I'd get a seat or be left standing. What's nice about this aquatic adaptation (a sprinkler takes the place of the music) is that everyone's a winner.

COOL-OFF QUOTIENT: 3 to 4 ice cubes

WHAT YOU NEED: A rotating lawn sprinkler hooked up to a hose and someone manning the faucet

HOW TO PLAY: Start with the sprinkler turned off. Players must move around the sprinkler area, jumping, dancing or striking funny poses. When the sprinkler is turned on, they must freeze in position and get drenched until the sprinkler is turned off again.
