Flag Invitations

Set a patriotic theme for your block party or parade with easy, homemade invitations. Have your kids use crayons and markers to turn index cards into American flags. Draw stars and stripes on the lined side and on the other put the date, time, location, and phone number, plus what each family should bring. Tape or glue the cards onto Popsicle sticks to make mini flags. A week or two before the Fourth, take a stroll with your children and deliver a flag to each family.
