EXPEDITION SUPPLY PIÑATA
At the end of the journey, give your explorers one final assignment: to rescue a lost package of expedition supplies. First, create a piñata-like bag of supplies by filling a paper grocery bag with candy and small plastic creatures. Tape the bag closed and label it with printed-out "Expedition Supplies" labels.
Use twine to hang it from the ceiling in a basement, inside a garage, in the yard from a tree, or on a porch. Have the kids take turns using a plastic sword or a stick to whack it open. After the scramble, gather the loot and divide it equally into brown paper lunch bags. Print out "Supply Rations" labels for the bags, tie the bags closed with a piece of twine, and give them as party favors. For added fun, hang the piñata out of sight and send the explorers out to find it at the end of the party.
