Pokemon Birthday Party

Power up and have a ball on your birthday with this great Pokemon party.

Pokemon Party Invitations

Have your child create an invitation for guests as a master trainer in the shape of a pokéball. Based on the innocence and perseverance of trainer Ash Ketchum, Pokemon Party Invitationsuse a power-filled photo of your child inviting "all trainers" to gather for a party.

MATERIALS

Red and white card stock
Paper fasteners
Photograph of child, black and white photocopy
Colored pencils
Glue
Scissors
Large lid for tracing

DIRECTIONS

1. Find a photograph of your child--preferably in a pose of confidence--and make one photocopy for each invitation.
2. Color over the black and white photocopy with colored pencil, adding hints of Pokémon powers, such as bursts of electricity or fire.
3. Trace the circumference of the lid over the picture, and cut around to form the pokéball shape. Do the same with both card stocks.
4. Glue the photo onto the white circle. After the glue has dried, attach the red circle to the back with a paper fastener.
5. Write the party information on the inside, such as "A few chosen Pokémon trainers are invited to a special gathering on (your name) Pokémon Island."
