Your guests split up into two teams for this game and put their knowledge of Pokémon traits and powers to the test.
Here is how to collect the questions you will need to get the teams thinking on their toes.
Before the party, visit some online Pokémon sites with your child and learn the distinctive qualities of most--or all--150 Pokémon. Check out the Pokédex on The Official Pokémon site for visuals and descriptions of Pokémon and trainers.
During your research, take detailed notes, or print out the facts. Ask questions like "What are the Pokémoncalled who have the power of electricity?" or "What is an evolved Pikachu called?"

A parent to play Professor Oaks
HOW TO PLAY
1. Write each question on a strip of paper, fold and place into a hat. Divide guests into two teams.2. Roll a die to see who goes first.
3. Have a parent act as Professor Oaks to quiz the teams, as he picks questions out of the hat. Designate another parent to keep score.
4. For every question the team answers correctly, they may have another turn. The game ends when the hat is empty.
5. The winners become "master trainers" and are given a blue ribbon. The alternate team receives a red ribbon for "trainers in training".
TIP: For equal teams, scramble the players names in the hat and have a parent pick them out.
To make the game last, make sure you have plenty of questions.
