Cheerleading Party

The Special Guest Our party really kicked into high gear with the appearance of our special guest -- a high-school cheerleader who taught the partygoers a few easy cheers and led them in some lively routines (while freeing me to prepare the food for the next phase of the party). If you don't know a cheerleader, you can ask friends with older kids for references or contact your local high school or junior high. You may want to offer a small payment (plus pizza and cake) as an incentive for an extra-peppy appearance. Be sure to hand out pom-poms (see the goody bag in this article) before the cheering starts.
