At this party, greet your guests with an interactive house based on Steve and Blue's colorful abode. When they arrive, they can "sign in" by drawing a picture of themselves or their favorite friend of Blue's, on the house walls. Make this cheerful pad a day before the big day.

MATERIALS

One large rectangular box
Scissors
Three to four sheets of red poster board
Sticky back velcro
Yellow, purple and red poster paint
Utility knife
Plenty of pens and markers

DIRECTIONS

1. To shape the top of the house, use scissors to round the front and back flaps on the top of the box, and fold the smaller side flaps in toward the middle for support.

2. With a utility knife (parents only) cut out two windows and a door for the house.

3. For the roof, tape together a few sheets of poster board--end to end.

4. Gently crease the end of the poster boards to round the roof. With small strips of sticky back velcro, tape them to the top of the house.

5. With poster paints, paint the roof purple, the bulk of the house yellow and the doors red.
