2011 Volunteers Contest: School Edition

Does your family volunteer at your local school, or does your school work with families to help others in the community? If so, we want to hear about it! Courtesy of The Walt Disney Company, HandsOn Network and FamilyFun will select four grand-prize winners and award $5,000 to each winner's school or charity of choice. Five first-place winners will each receive $1,000 to donate to the school or charity of their choice. The grand prizes will include two special winners:

Best School Food Drive, awarded to the school with the most creative program tackling hunger. Entries will be judged with help from the new Schools Serve: the National School Food Drive program.

Best Green School Project, awarded to the school or class with the most inspiring environment-friendly project. Entries will be judged with help from Disney's Friends For Change, which will award winning students a special Friends For Change prize in addition to the $5,000 donation.
