Black Cat Treasure Hunt
Your Halloween guests will think this twist on a typical treasure hunt is the cat's meow.

- Black paper cats or little black cat stuffed animals
- Silver or gold ink
- Clues
- Instructions

Before the party, think up a series of clues that will lead the players from one place to the next.

Then you can either use silver or gold ink to print the clues on black construction paper cats. Click on the following link for a printable version of the Black Cat template. To view the .pdf file, you'll need Acrobat Reader, which is available for free from the Adobe site. Or you can write the clues on plain white tags and tie them to black cat stuffed animals that double as party gifts (be sure to use as many toys as there are guests).

Hide the clues in the appropriate spots.

To play, give the guests a clue that leads to the first cat, which will lead to the next one, and so on to the ultimate treasure: a stash of Halloween candy to divvy up and take home.
