When the king found out the kids were making faces, he thought they were being naughty and was tempted to take back his treasure. Then he saw what kind of faces they were making--these sweet little lollipop people, who are just right for putting on puppet shows. Once he saw them, the king joined right in the fun.
The kids said that lollipops of any size can be decorated with candy to create characters. They used Royal Icing to attach candies to the lollipops. For a monster puppet, they used gummy-ring eyes, candy-corn fangs and a slimy gummy-worm smile. Mini puppet people can be made with smaller lollipops, adding M&M's Minis eyes and a shoestring-licorice smile.
