Introduce your family to some foreign words and give them an opportunity to be silly with this fun translation challenge modeled on the parlor game "dictionary."

Instructions

1. To play, write a message in another language on the front of an envelope and post it on the refrigerator. (For message ideas, go to the Web addresses listed below). Have everyone place their translations, serious or humorous, in the envelope. Be sure to put the real solution in there too.
   
   Once you have all the responses, read them aloud and have everyone try to guess which one is right. Players get a point if they choose or write the correct meaning, and another each time their translation is picked. If they guess the language, that's another point. The winner gets to pick the next foreign phrase.
