Kick the Disk
To set up the game, use chalk to draw a 16- by 6-foot blacktop court as shown. Give each player 8 disks (we used large plastic jar lids). To play, opponents stand on opposite sides of the court and take turns placing a disk behind their end lines, then kicking it into the far point zone. (To score, at least three quarters of the disk must be inside a zone.) If a disk comes to rest in an unmarked zone, no points are scored; in the "5 off" area, five points are lost; and in the dead zone, all points are lost. If a player knocks his opponent's disk out of (or into) a point zone, the opponent's score is adjusted accordingly. The player with the highest score after all the disks are kicked wins. Players switch sides after each round.
