Cranberry Cheesecake Shake

 From FamilyFun Magazine

If the idea of putting cranberries in a milk shake sounds unusual to you, just try a sip. It's berry good. Whether you make it with regular or low-fat ingredients, keep in mind that this rich, creamy drink is best enjoyed in modest amounts (8 ounces or so).
To be sure you're using the freshest berries, you'll want to choose fruit that has bounce in it. Or you can put it to the water test. Small pockets of air trapped in fresh cranberries make them bounce -- and float in water.

Ingredients
  • 3-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

Instructions
  1. Combine the cream cheese and milk in a blender and mix well. Add the remaining ingredients and blend the mixture until nearly smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if necessary. Serve immediately. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
