Cindy's Stuffed Mushrooms

From the kitchen of: Cindy Hilliard, Elkhart, Texas

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. large mushrooms
  • 1 small onion
  • 8 strips bacon
  • 1 16-oz. package cream cheese

Instructions
  1. Clean mushrooms and remove stems for stuffing.

  2. Chop mushroom stems and onions. Set aside.

  3. Chop raw bacon and fry until almost done. Add onions and stems. Continue to fry until done.

  4. Drain bacon and onion mixture. Place in food processor. Add room temperature cream cheese. Process for 30 to 45 seconds until mixed.

  5. Put heaping spoonfuls of mixture into mushroom caps. Place on cookie sheet.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
