Best-ever Blueberry Sauce
Balsamic vinegar gives a bit of an edge to this sweet surprise.
- Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups (12-oz. pkg) frozen blueberries, or 2 1/2 cups fresh blueberries (stems removed) plus 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves

In a sauce pan over low heat, mix the blueberries, vinegar, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and cloves. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Makes about a cup.
