Turn your homemade ice cream into hot fudge sundaes with this rich chocolate sauce, a dollop of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.To make the sauce, combine 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips, 3/4 cup of heavy cream and 1 tablespoon of butter in the top of a double boiler. Heat over simmering water, stirring occasionally, until the chocolate melts and the mixture is creamy and smooth.
Serve warm over Freezer French Vanilla ice cream. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
