Edible Art

Edible masterpieces from FamilyFun

Log Cabin The grandest of the structural arts is here whimsically celebrated in a work that's both a rustic cottage and a crunchy snack. Delving deeper into the work, we see it is literally built upon a milk carton, reminding us of the beverage every peanut-butter eater craves.

MATERIALS

Clean 8-oz. milk carton (or larger, for 2-story structures)
Peanut butter
Thin pretzel sticks
Pretzel nuggets

TOOLS

Plastic knife
Plate

Staple the milk carton shut and affix it to the plate with a dab of peanut butter. Spread a moderately thick layer of peanut butter onto each side, insetting the sticks into the "mortar." Fashion doors and windows from shorter sticks; shingle the roof with pretzel nuggets.

TIPS: The best way to achieve a precise pretzel fit on the structure's windows and door is to nibble the pretzel's ends down to size.

REVIEWERS' COMMENTS: "It's the three little pigs' house." "It's like a bird's nest, and it's funny."
