S'mores in a Bag

by Nicole Blasenak Shapiro From FamilyFun Magazine

Brownie Troop 1169 of Scottsboro, Alabama, concocted s'mores in a fire-free (and mess-free) way by using ziplock bags and tinkering a bit with the usual recipe. In addition to being gooey and delicious, this variation on a classic snack comes with a lesson about resourcefulness and ingenuity. "The girls not only had fun, but they also learned that there's often more than one way to do something," says troop leader Martha Avans.

Ingredients
  • Graham crackers
  • Marshmallow crème
  • Chocolate chips

Instructions
  1. To make one serving, place a graham cracker in a quart-size ziplock bag. Seal it and crush the cracker.

  2. Add 2 heaping spoonfuls of marshmallow crème and about 1/4 cup of chocolate chips. Reseal, then squeeze and knead the bag to mix the ingredients together.

  3. To eat, just snip off a corner of the bag and squeeze out the sweet treat.
