Snow-White Pizza
Homemade pizza from FamilyFun
For those who like their pizza "bianco," this version will draw raves. Spinach-lovers can add a layer of sauteed spinach over the ricotta then cover it with mozzarella.
Ingredients
Perfect Pizza Dough
Olive oil for coating or cornmeal for dusting
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 garlic cloves, pressed or minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cups grated mozzarella cheese
Directions
Heat the oven to 450 degrees. Punch down the risen dough and divide it in two. For each pizza, roll one portion into a 12-inch circle and place the crust on a lightly greased baking sheet or on a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal.
Combine the ricotta, garlic and Parmesan. Spread half of the mixture on the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella on top. Bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown underneath. Makes two.
