Green Food Unless you are one of those lucky parents whose children like vegetables, green may not be the most popular food color at your house.

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we're inviting you to have a little fun with GREEN FOOD.

Not only is this a colorful approach to cooking, it adds something healthy to foods your kids already love, which is one way to improve their diet. Now, here's the holiday menu:

The proper beverage to accompany this green gourmet meal is, of course, our homemade limemade. You can find the recipe for it below.

For first course, consider making a green green salad, made with all-green vegetables. Just wash and chop lettuce, cucumbers and green bell peppers. Peel and slice some avocados and add those, too. Toss all this with sprouts and your favorite salad dressing.

Next, serve a hearty pesto on spinach pasta, with Great Green Garlic Bread on the side. You'll find the simple and delicious recipes below.

For dessert, how about green sherbert topped with some sliced kiwi or green grapes for a little added green?

Every holiday offers an opportunity to expand the foods your child will eat. With any luck, these fun, green dishes will become part of your regular routine.
