Start with a list of five or more items devised by one of the players. The list might include a plain seashell, a colorful seashell, a flying seagull, a standing seagull, pilings, driftwood, a beach umbrella, beach grass, a bottle of suntan lotion, a portable radio, someone reading a book, a person making a sand castle, a child playing with shovels and buckets, a white rock, a colorful rock, seaweed, a big wave or a puffy cloud.
-
Once a player finds all the items on the list, he or she gets to make up a new list. Children with reading skills might want to carry around a small pad and pen.
-
For variety, go for a walk down the beach with your children rather than staying in the same spot you're bound to find interesting things to add to your list.
