In fact, studio tours have become so popular in recent years that many broadcasters have opened company museums and visitors' centers to further educate and entertain the curious. While you'll see sophisticated hardware such as the Automated Record Playback System, the highlight of this television studio tour is visiting the sets of well-known shows and possibly meeting a TV star in the hallways. During your tour, you'll learn about NBC company history, tour the new High-definition television theater and try your hand at a replicated control room. Tours are conducted by reservation only, from 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday through Saturday, and 9:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. on Sunday. Admission is $17.95 for adults and $15.50 for kids ages six to 16.
