D.C.'s Dinosaurs

Visit This Dinosaur Exhibit With FamilyFun

by Kelly Milner Halls
Thanks in part to movies such as JURASSIC PARK and Disney's own DINOSAUR, the number of fossil collections, dinosaur exhibits and archaeological digs have dramatically multiplied in recent years. The following attraction, one of the best in the country, is sure to delight your budding young paleontologist.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

WASHINGTON, D.C.

The National Museum of Natural History hosts an impressive who's who of dinosaur displays beginning with Uncle Beazley (a Triceratops model named after the children's book character) and including T. rex, Diplodocus and Stegosaurus. There's also a working paleontology lab plus exhibits on ancient marine creatures and mammals. Admission is free. Call 202-786-2950 for more information, or visit the Web site.
