These multilevel sister hotels, built side-by-side into the cliffs, offer 140 large rooms with ceiling fans and ample terraces. Rooms are simple but bright and welcoming, and the location can't be beat. Rates begin at around $115 for a standard casita with terrace and ocean view; $130 for a terraza suite or deluxe bungalow with a large terrace and ocean view. Club Med Ixtapa
A Baby Club, for babies 4 months to 2 years old, is in session from approximately 9:00A.M. to 5:30P.M. daily. Group babysitting for sleeping children can be arranged for the evenings. Two- and three-year-olds can go to Petit Club, while Mini Club accommodates kids ages four to 11 from approximately 9:00A.M. to 9 P.M., complete with early supervised lunches and dinners. Per-person weekly land rates in March start at $644 per adult 15 and over/$560 for kids ages 4 to 14 yrs. and $364 for kids 2 to 3 yrs. Westin Brisas Ixtapa
Designed to resemble an inverted pyramid, this ochre-colored building, spills down a hillside to the hotel's secluded beach. Krystal Ixtapa
