delicious images of all are in Seuss Landing, where the eye candy evokes the curved, pastel, overstuffed world of the Dr. Seuss classics. You'll recognize friends from your favorite stories on the Caro-Seuss-el, a merry-go-round populated with characters who can blink, wiggle their ears and turn their heads when young riders pull on the reins.
The coolest kiddie attraction may be One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, a cycle ride where you board a brightly colored fish equipped with a joystick that lets you control the height of your flight. Throughout the ride you're given directions like 'Red fish, fly high.' If you follow the instructions, you're fine, but if you don't, a bad fish will "spit" on you. Universal assures me this teaches kids to follow directions. I suspect it really shows them how much fun it can be to rebel--but either way, it's a terrific ride.
In The Cat in the Hat, you'll ride couches through scenes from the book. In the If I Ran the Zoo play area, kids can jump, climb and squirt water to their hearts' content.
