A Universal Adventure

High-tech thrills from FamilyFun

by Kim Wright Wiley
popeyeWith something for kids of all ages and bound to get you dripping wet, Toon Lagoon is where cartoon characters live when they're not in the funnies or on television.

The major attraction is a wild log flume ride, Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls (height requirement: 44 inches), which culminates in a 75-foot drop that makes it look as if you're falling into a shed full of TNT.

A little too explosive? If your kids are unsure about that final Do-Right drop, check out Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges (height requirement: 42 inches), a white-water ride designed for the whole family to experience together. Both water rides are lively and the perfect way to cool off on a summer afternoon.

There's also Me Ship, The Olive, a play area where kids can fire water guns at the rafters to their hearts content.
