If the opportunity for daily trail rides in a forest delights you, this may be family-camp heaven. Located in the Deschutes National Forest, Tamarack offers a four day family camp weekend over the Labor Day weekend in late August. Facilities are basic (cabins and latrine toilets), but the reasonable fees include horseback riding and instruction.
