One of our favorite places is Hannibal, Missouri, the hometown of legendary author Samuel Clemens. We stayed in the Mark Twain campground, located just outside of town. It was one of the most beautiful places we camped on our three-week trip! We took a tour of the Tom Sawyer caves and the Cameron Caves, vast cave systems located right near the campground. We topped off our stay in Hannibal with a dinner cruise on the Mississippi River, where we ate an excellent meal and listened to an authentic banjo serenade. Our children can't stop talking about our fun time.
