Going over the river and through the woods sometime soon? Make your road trip a bit more fun with a DIY card game. Before you go, write the names of different types of vehicles on 20 to 30 index cards. Add drawings, if you like. Mix and match colors and vehicle types, as we've done here. When you hit the road, there are two ways to play.
Single Lane: Each player selects one card. If he spots a vehicle matching the one on his card, he picks another. Play continues until all cards are chosen, and whoever has collected the most cards, wins.
Traffic Jam: Split the deck evenly between the players. Players look for all of the cars in their hand, discarding any they spot. The first person to discard all of his cards wins.
