ROSE CENTER FOR EARTH AND SPACE
NEW YORK, NEW YORK
The American Museum of Natural
History's $210 million Rose Center for Earth and Space is a marvel unto itself.
At the heart of the new center is the completely revamped Hayden Planetarium, an 87-foot sphere enclosed in an all-glass capsule. Featuring the world's most technologically advanced Space Theater, visitors will gasp as they fly through the universe courtesy of the one-of-a-kind Zeiss projector and virtual reality technology.
The upper half of the sphere houses the planetarium while the lower half is reserved for the Big Bang Theater, which dramatically re-creates the first few minutes of the birth of our universe. Museum admission is $13 for adults and $7.50 for children. Combination tickets, which include admission to the Museum, the Rose Center and the Hayden Planetarium Space Show, are $22 for adults and $13 for children.
