Viva Las Vegas!

The City of Surprises is all that and more

by Lynn Goya
"Co-o-ol!" crooned my 11-year old when we said we wereVegas Strip going to Las Vegas. If any city is kid-friendly, it's Vegas, a real-life Disneyland that only gets more fantastical each year with a sailing ship on the Strip, a flaming volcano and, most recently, a replica of the Eiffel Tower high above the pink flamingos.

Along with the amazing sights, kids can ride roller coasters, swim in hotel pools with slides and waterfalls and take in a magic show by the ever-popular Lance Burton.

On our trip, we could tell we were not in Kansas anymore before we were even out of the airport. Huge promotional videos advertised the shows and competed with clanging, flashing slot machines as we waited to claim our baggage. The amusement-park atmosphere enchanted the kids from the get-go. Read on to find out about our three fun-filled Vegas days and nights.
