This heart-shaped paper tote makes a quick and easy carryall for the mementos your child receives this Valentine's Day.

Instructions

1. To make one, help your child roll a 24-inch square of heavy wrapping paper or drawing paper into a large cone and then flatten it. Secure the loose edge with tape, then trim the top of the cone to form the top of a heart.

2. For a handle, staple a 22-inch length of wide ribbon onto the bag, covering the ends of the staples with tape. (Tip: To keep the staples from tearing the paper, stick a piece of tape on the bag where each staple will go beforehand.)

3. Next, cut a heart shape from colored paper or card stock and write on your child's name. Attach the tag to the front of the bag with a glue stick or double-sided tape, and the tote is ready to go.
