Your little sweeties can make a heart-felt statement on Valentine's Day by donning these easy-to-make accessories.

Materials

• Pinking shears
• Scissors
• Felt

• Ribbon
• Hair tie, shoelaces, belt, or button

Instructions

1. Using pinking shears and scissors, cut 3 felt hearts in graduating sizes (our largest was 3 1/2 inches tall and wide). Cut a pair of vertical slits in the middle of the smallest heart, then lay it on top of the middle heart as a guide and mark and cut matching slits. Repeat with the middle heart to make slits in the largest.

2. Finally, stack the hearts and use a piece of ribbon to attach them to a hair tie, as shown.

3. You can also thread them onto shoelaces.

4. Or weave them onto a belt.

5. Another option is to cut just one slit in each heart and slip them onto a button.
