Love Notes
A Valentine's My Great Idea from FamilyFun.com
When my two oldest kids, Shannon and Allison, were learning how to write, our family started our I Saw Something Good box for Valentine's Day. On February 1, we decorate a shoe box and leave it on the kitchen counter with a pad of paper and a pencil next to it. Over the next two weeks, everyone keeps an eye out for good deeds to write up and slip inside, such as "Allison helped clean my room" and "Russell gave Daddy a big hug." We help Russell, four, and Eric, two, add some notes. On Valentine's Day, we open the box and read the love notes aloud after dinner. It really makes us appreciate all the nice things we do for one another. --Anita A. B., Highland, Utah
