Instead of purchasing cards to give to his classmates on Valentine's Day, my six-year-old son, Brennan, wanted to try something different. We used our home computer, digital camera, and scanner to make a card that we could wrap around a candy bar. My son wrote a valentine message to his friends, and I scanned it along with his picture. Next, we typed up silly nutrition information, like "This bar contains 100% daily recommendations of friendship, fun, happiness, and hugs and kisses." We put these elements together and printed it all out on large adhesive labels, which we wrapped around the individual candy bars. The whole class loved this treat, and Brennan was very proud of his original valentines. -- Andrea S., Doylestown, Pennsylvania
